Abstract:

This handout provides an overview of the Health Policy Initiative in Tanzania. The project supports government, civil society, and private sector partners to build an enabling environment to scale up HIV prevention, care, and treatment and improve family planning and reproductive health policies in Tanzania. To achieve these goals, the Health Policy Initiative carries out advocacy, technical assistance, and capacity building to foster leadership and governance; policymaking and planning; evidence-based decisionmaking; and resource mobilization and allocation.
