Brief summarizing HPI-TO1's capabilities in promoting health equity.
Overall improvements in healthcare systems often fail to benefit those in greatest need. The poor have worse health outcomes, use health services less, and benefit less from government health expenditures than the better-off. The Health Policy Initiative uses a policy-based approach to help countries achieve greater equity in access to quality healthcare services. This document provides an overview of the project's approach to health equity, as well as a list of recommended resources.
