What is DemProj?

DemProj is one of the most widely used software models for making population projections. Researchers, planners, and policymakers can use the model findings to inform research activities, program planning, and policy development.

E-Learning Course

Divided into three parts, this e-learning course provides (1) a review of the basic demographic concepts and measures of population and the processes that influence population growth, (2) step-by-step instructions in using DemProj to make population projections, and (3) a series of useful exercises and "quiz" questions to reinforce concepts. For further information on using DemProj, refer to the DemProj Manual, available in English, French, Russian, and Spanish.

Where to Begin

Select which of the three parts you want to use. If it is your first time using the e-learning package, start with "Part 1: Introduction to Population Projections." If you are returning to the course, you can use the navigation bar at the bottom of the e-learning video screen to find the point at which you left off.
